Mental Fitness -Depression Is A Spoiler

It is our own personal task to find out what we can do to help ourselves when we are feeling out of sorts. At these times we wish to restore our well-being and that wonderful feeling that envelops us when we feel happy, in tune with life and experiencing mental fitness.  

Depression is as a term commonly used to indicate stress, fear, frustration or unhappiness. It implies a negative and potentially serious state of psychic hopelessness. Unless this is remedied, other mental symptoms and problems will occur.

So we ask ourselves and must be able to answer honestly “Why am I unhappy”? If you are patient and relaxed enough to admit the reasons for your unhappiness it will cause an unravelling of any negative knot or stranglehold within your psyche.

But even if the cause is not immediately apparent, you really do know the answer, even if is at present residing in the deeper unconscious mind. You will in time discover the key.

It is when suffering from moods of hopeless and unreasonable grey depression that we must admit it may be indication of a more serious mental symptom which can relate to brain and body chemistry. What is diagnosed as ‘clinical depression’ requires expert medical treatment assistance. However, we would be advised to first follow a period trying to help ourselves before considering becoming reliant upon drug therapy and professional help of psychiatrists.

So, if you are feeling depressed and suffering lack of enthusiasm in your life, recognize what it is that is making you unhappy.  Then look for the remedy by asking yourself, what is it on the other hand that makes you feel happy?

Knowing that no other person is capable of giving us happiness, and that it must be generated inside us, be kind to yourself and use your imagination and your free will to lift your mood.
