How Developing Positive Thinking Strategies Help In Managing Stress

Let’s face it, in today’s times we are inundated with the many self-help books that’s talking about the next best thing. And even though most self-help, personal development, and positive thinking strategy books do make us feel better while were reading them, we tend to be forgot or lose the message once book ends.

So what can we all do to assure ourselves that we’ll be able to remember, and more importantly, employ the techniques we have just read?  The answer is quite simple through the power of positive thinking.

Now, positive thinking is more than just being optimistic and seeing the glass half full all the time. You do not have to be happy, and joyful everyday to be a considered a positive thinker. You just have to consider the brighter side of things when life throws you a curve ball. Because believe or not, you can always find something in any given circumstance, you just have to believe it. If you do this good things will follow you regardless of the situation you are going thru.

When you encounter a loss from someone close to you like a parent, sibling, or dear friend, you will instinctively grieve. And instinctively this type of grief will probably shake your core, but you don’t realize this will make you a stronger person. You should always remember what the famous German Friedrich Nietzsche, who once said: “That which does not kill me will only make me stronger.” Basically what he was saying back then was that if that event you just experienced did not kill you, then it will inevitably make you stronger against any more trials you endure in your life.

You also need to create positive thinking strategies when you a face difficult situation or problem, that was based on decision you made previously. You will instinctively wallow in remorse, if not, misery. What you will fail to see is the fact that such an episode will serve as a learning experience for you. The main thing you did was that you actually made a decision and took. So okay, this decision was not in your favor, but chances are, when a similar situation arises, you probably won’t make the same mistake again.  The bottom is that you have learned from your past experiences, you have become wiser.

Another way positive thinking strategies helps are with our fears. When you are overwhelmed by your fears, (and as humans we have many) you instinctively try to hide or to run away.  However, with positive thinking, you can use those fears that hold you back and use them as motivation for you to work harder.

For example, a pressing deadline can cause the fear of getting reprimanded or fired, but it can also encourage you to work faster and efficiently. Or, you may always wanted to date a girl, but thought she was too good looking for, and couldn’t bear the fear of rejection. However with positive thinking strategies, you go ahead and talk to the girl, because you believe you have nothing to lose if you try.

So incorporating positive thinking strategies in your life will knock down all the fears you have or believe are holding you back.  The reality is that is all up to you, and only you can create positive thinking.
